Two Robbers hard seltzer company plans to open a restaurant featuring their product at the forefront. The Philadelphia Business Journal reports that Two Robbers owners, Vikram and Vivek Nayar, plan to open Burgers and Seltzers at 1221 Frankford Ave. In addition to selling burgers, hard seltzers, and other menu items, the Fishtown location will also serve as the company’s primary retail location.
The Burgers and Seltzers location will likely offer outdoor dining. It has received approval from the Philadelphia Zoning Board of Adjustment for a patio, outdoor seating area, and two marquees. Burgers and Seltzers is expected to be a family-friendly location that will close by 11 to 11:30 p.m. each night.
Two Robbers, which is described as “part beverage company, and part art project,” makes seven different flavors: raspberry lime, peach berry, grapefruit kiwi, black cherry lemon, orange and mango, pineapple with ginger, and watermelon and cucumber. Their flavored hard seltzers are sold in more than 4,000 locations by can and on tap in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and Texas. UK-based artist Jonny Mowat does the company’s artwork.
The company was started by the Nayars, who are twin brothers, in their 50 sq. ft. Philly backyard in 2017 with the goal of creating a drink that was delicious but lacked sugar and sweeteners. They tinkered for months on the perfect recipe and finally got it right. Then their house was broken into. And then it was broken into again a few weeks later. Police believed it was a professional job, according to the company’s website.
“But instead of closing shop, we decided to double down. A year later, we finally launched Two Robbers—the best-tasting hard seltzer on the market,” the company’s website reads. “We thought it only fitting to name our drink in honor of the guys who got us going. Cheers to you two, wherever you are.”
