While you’ll often find a Pizza Hut Express when shopping at other stores, like Target, or built into other Yum! Brands restaurants, like Taco Bell, the Pizza Hut Expreess at Kingston Village Shopping Center will not be co-branded and is an individual location in the shopping center’s multi-tenant strip.

Will Pizza Hut’s glorious stuffed crust pizza be available at this Pizza Hut Express? One can only hope. Pizza Hut Express often serves a limited menu compared to a full Pizza Hut restaurant. They often have individual pan pizzas which are amazing, because they are delicious and you don’t have to share. Unlike the full service dining areas at Pizza Huts, Pizza Hut Express is often carry-out/delivery only. Pizza Hut was started by two brothers in 1958 who had to borrow $600 from their mom to open a pizza joint in Wichita, Kansas. She agreed “for the love of pizza.” They came up with the name Pizza Hut because their sign could only fit eight letters.

“Soon, the restaurant grew. Why? The pizza was awesome. The service felt like home. And the customers were treated like family. And we’ve been delivering that same food and service ever since,” their website states.

Pizza Hut is now a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which also owns chains like KFC and The Habit Burger Grill. Pizza Hut is currently looking to hire 40,000 employees across the U.S. by the end of 2021 as a result of increased demand of contactless delivery and pickup.

“Pizza Hut has continued to see explosive growth over the past few months, with the business performing extremely well as a result of increased demand,” Cristi Lockett, chief people officer at Pizza Hut, said in a press release. “As we continue to grow in an especially tight labor market, it’s more important than ever to highlight our best-in-class brand culture as we strive to keep delivering America’s favorite pizza.”
