The eatery is moving into the former home of Joe’s Crab shack at 2000 Clements Bridge Road. The 7,500 square foot restaurant will provide both indoor and outdoor seating for hungry guests.  Up to 275 visitors can enjoy their meals inside, while the outdoor section can accommodate around 75 patrons. P.J. Whelihan’s Deptford location is on track to open this October.

Whelihan’s is no stranger to the Garden State; the Deptford restaurant will be the chain’s sixth South Jersey home. Founded in 1983, the eatery, owned and operated by the PJW Restaurant Group, currently has 26 locations in operation.

P.J. Whelihan’s sets itself apart from the crowded hospitality market by offering an enhanced sports bar experience. The menu features standard pub essentials, ranging from smash burgers to wings, as well as an impressive array of salads and sandwiches. The bar puts an emphasis on pouring local brews.
