The eatery, which aspires to be an “elevated Asian Shake Shack”, is taking over the space at 226 North Radnor Chester Road that last housed Buena Onda. The 2,000 square foot restaurant will provide both indoor and outdoor seating, with space for up to 45 customers inside and six visitors outside.
Helmed by the brother-sister power duo of Pearl and Paul Somboonsong, Mama-San will allow Win Hospitality to serve the lunch crowds its other restaurants do not accommodate. The restaurant will allow the Somboonsongs to experiment with the format, trying out new methods to establish what best facilitates their vision.
Pearl states: ““This is our first entry into this market, and we want to see what works, what are the kinks that we need to work through, but we very much see this concept being something we’d be able to grow.”
Future regulars can look forward to feasting on a variety of Asian and fusion dishes. Locals will be able to indulge in poke bowls and sushi, as well as enjoying Asian beers and possibly sake.
Radnor foodies shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to sample the exciting new concept’s fare; the Somboonsongs are shooting for a January debut.
