The beloved eatery regularly sells out of its pies and the restaurant space, located at 216 South Mill Road, will allow Mezzaluna to consistently serve more customers as well as providing an opportunity to expand the menu. The building is currently occupied by the Evergreen Cafe. The incumbent residents are working with Mezzaluna owners Ben and Samantha Tobin to ease the transition.
The Tobins announced the arrival of their inaugural brick and mortar via a social media post, where the pair established that they are hoping to open in mid-April. Mezzaluna is inviting fans to invest in the restaurant via Honeycomb Credit.
The Tobins expressed their excitement for the new project on their website, stating “We are very excited to call Kennett Square home! This small town has so much to offer, and it was there in a time of need for Ben and his family when he was a kid. Now we want to make sure that we support and help families in need, provide consistent quality to neighbors, and do our best to always leave a positive ripple in the same was Kennett left a positive ripple on us!”
