Mission BBQ’s flagship location was opened on September 11, 2011 – ten years after America was changed forever. Founders Bill Kraus and Steve Newton describe the restaurant’s conception and trajectory as follows:

“After traveling our great country in search of the nation’s best BBQ, we felt inspired to bring this great food home. Especially for those who protect us all, the hard workers who get it done every day, the home teams we cheer for, and of course, family and friends. Our mission is to serve you the most authentic, mouth-watering all-American food that’s done right.”

While Mission BBQ doesn’t offer servicemen/women daily discounts or comped meals, they claim to have donated over “$20,000,000 [to] support vital charities since opening [their] doors in 2011.” They also have a “Veterans VIP club that all active duty and veterans can sign up for to receive free chow and gifts throughout the year.”

The incoming Mission BBQ restaurant will be located “at a corner of the Concord Gallery shopping center, which also includes Staples, Five Below, and Bertucci’s.” While it appears the menus vary based on location – making it difficult to predict specifics for the new establishment’s offerings – most Mission BBQ menus offer brisket, garden greens, mac & cheese, and a few different BBQ-based sandwiches.

All Mission BBQ locations are company-owned.
