The building is currently under construction. The Newark location is the married couple’s second Delaware Nothing Bundt Cake storefront. The Swans also run a Nothing Bundt Cakes in Exton, Pennsylvania.

Speaking with What Now Philadelphia about the draw of the Newark facility, David highlighted its accessibility, stating “We searched our entire territory for available locations, and we really liked the central nature of Churchmans Road…it’s easy to get to from Newark, Middletown, Hockesin, Bear, etcetera.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes prepares all of its goods on the premises. Patrycja described the menu, explaining “We have ten flavors and usually one feature flavor that changes every month or two.  We have five sizes of cakes, from small bite-size Bundtinis, to personal size Bundtlets, to eight-inch, ten-inch and Tiered Cakes.  All of them come with our signature butter-cream cheese frosting.”

The bakery also provides decoration upon request.

The Swans plan to make Nothing Bundt Cakes an active part of the Newark community. David explains “We love to be involved with the community.  We attend events, we are involved with the chamber, and we support schools and programs with donations, fundraisers, etcetera. Everybody loves cake!”

Nothing Bundt Cakes offers a wide array of variations on the classic bundt cake. Flavors include lemon, chocolate chocolate chip, confetti, and carrot, with a revolving selection of seasonal options.  David adds “Once you try our cake, that first bite tells you why we only do bundt cakes.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes will be open Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm and from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturdays. The bakery will be closed on Sundays.

A firm opening date hasn’t been slated yet, but the Swans are enthusiastic about bringing Nothing Bundt Cakes’ wares to Newark, with David stating “Nothing Bundt Cakes has always been about “Spreading the Joy” – cake is for every occasion and usually a celebration of some kind.  We want to be a part of that celebration.”
