The concept, which focuses heavily on pork-centric dishes, is moving into the space recently vacated by Martha, at 2113 East York Street. While a precise opening timeline is not currently available, Pig & Khao is hoping to begin serving customers in summer of 2025.

Byruch states that the duo wasn’t necessarily focused on the area as a new home for their successful New York restaurant, but: “I don’t know that we were necessarily looking for Kensington, but we fell in love with the Martha space.”

Pig and Khao has already made a considerable splash on the New York dining scene, and is certain to wow Philadelphia diners. Future Philadelphia regulars can look forward to sampling a menu featuring Southeast Asian standards, ranging from noodles, to skewers, to dumplings.
