Whiting Commons is managed by Paramount Realty Services and per The Asbury Park Press, Maurice Zekaria, president of Lakewood-based Paramount Realty Services said, “This center has become the epicenter and gateway to Whiting, Whiting has experienced consistent residential growth over the years, and we expect Starbucks…to thrive.”

This Starbucks location will be part of an 8,951-square-foot building that has yet to be built on the now-vacant land. The store will have a drive-through and an outdoor seating area.

Starbucks was founded in 1971 at Seattle’s Pike’s Place Market and currently has 33,833 stores in 80 countries, some 15,000 of which are in the United States. The company has become the ubiquitous coffee brand all over the world from that humble beginning in Seattle. It is considered a “second wave” coffee culture that is founded on an insistence on high quality coffee beans and robust flavor in coffee drinks.
