Tina’s Tacos Grows Into New Jersey With Build Your Own Margarita Bar

Tina's Tacos will open in Florence sometime in March.

After opening their first halal birria taco joint inspired by their favorite animated comedy character under a year ago, couple Puja Gohil and Darshak Pendem are ready to open their next one. Gohil and Pendem are going even bigger with the new location of Tina’s Tacos, slated to open in Burlington County, NJ, sometime in March. The second Tina’s Tacos location, at 2043 Rt. 130 South in Florence, will be larger with seating for more than 150 and have more of a sports bar-feel than its Fishtown restaurant and bar.

“I think we’re serving an underserved market. They got rid of all the bars in the area, and it’s all kind of the same thing. We’re trying to introduce something new,” Gohil told What Now Philadelphia. “We’re just hoping from day one we deliver the best service that we possibly can. That’s our main goal in trying to build on the Tina’s brand.”

Florence’s Tina’s Tacos, named after Tina Belcher of “Bob’s Burgers,” will serve the same halal menu of birria tacos and other Mexican fare as they do in Fishtown, but with a few new taco flavors. They’ll also offer specials that will include items like burgers and wings. The sizeable bar will boast 26 taps with weekly and daily beer specials. It will have an extensive tequila list and specialty cocktail and margarita menus. There will also be a build your own margarita option with different flavors and fixings.

“We’ll have an extensive margarita bar and almost any type of tequila you can think of, so it will be very fun and interactive,” Gohil said.

Tina’s Tacos will serve lunch and dinner and plans to add brunch service in the summer. There will be 20 TVs on-site where patrons can catch the latest game and the hottest pay-per-view events. Separate areas of the restaurant will be reserved for private parties and live entertainment and events like a DJ, karaoke, and comedy nights. Gohil says her restaurant’s success can be attributed to its customers.

“It’s been overwhelmingly amazing. We have so much love coming our way. The amount of support we’ve gotten, our Instagram and social media pages have just blown up. It’s just amazing. We have really awesome supporters,” said Gohil.

Gohil and Pendem plan to continue expanding their brand and open several locations on the East Coast in the future. Stay tuned for more info at tinastacosphilly.com.
