Rittenhouse Square will be welcoming the concept to the City of Brotherly Love. Chip City is opening its first Philly location at 204 South 17th Street in an 800 square foot space. The storefront is aiming to begin winning over visitors in mid-July.

Chip City CEO and co-founder Peter Philips explains that the brand has been eyeing Philadelphia for quite awhile. He states: “[A Philadelphia store has] been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, so I’m really happy that it’s finally come to fruition and I’m really excited to see what we’re able to do as a brand in Philadelphia.”

The bakery intends for the Rittenhouse store to be the first of several. Chip City is actively pursuing further Philly locations, though none have been officially selected yet. The brand, which has grown to include 38 locations is hoping to set itself apart from the already crowded cookie scene with its rotating menu of more than 60 flavors.
