Fishtown is being added to the roster of Philly neighborhoods home to America’s best hot dog. Aaron Anderson is opening his fourth location for The Original Hot Dog Factory at 2401 Aramingo Ave. The 1,500 sq. ft. location is currently undergoing renovations and will have dine-in seating for about 20 to 25 people when it opens in January 2022.

“At the Original Hot Dog Factory, we’re going to offer a wide variety of mouthwatering hot dogs, which will make you ask for more,” said Anderson in a press release. “All hot dogs are offered steamed, grilled, or fried together with globally inspired toppings.”
Anderson, also a motivational speaker and community advocate, is the entrepreneur and investor behind Axxeum Partners, whose mission is to “empower every person and every organization on the planet” by investing in people before profits. He also has Original Hot Dog Factory locations at Center City, The Bourse, and Subaru Park, as well as two Rita’s ice locations.
“When I discovered the actual brand and saw how creative they were with hot dogs, as a concept, there was nothing like it,” Anderson tells What Now Philadelphia. “Philly, I felt, was definitely a market where I could introduce it, and it would make sense.”
The Original Hot Dog Factory, which was born in Atlanta, sells hot dog combos named after famous U.S. cities like the Detroit Coney, a beef hot dog with chili, shredded cheese, and chopped onions, or the LA Dog with a bacon-wrapped beef hot dog topped with chili cheese fries and grilled onions. Other hot dogs are inspired by Italian and Jamaican Cuisine. You can also grab yourself some wings, a burger, grilled chicken sandwich, or corn dog nuggets with a side of onion rings or regular or sweet potato fries.
