The European-style cafe will occupy 1,500 square-feet at 25 East State Street. A press release Cafesphere shared with What Now Philadelphia states that the facility will provide seating for 60 customers. The indoor space will accommodate 30 guests, while those who prefer to enjoy their coffee al fresco can sip their java while taking in the view on the establishment’s roof deck.

Pasciak is hoping Cafesphere will fill a void in her local community. The restaurateur states “I don’t find a lot of great coffee in the suburbs where I live, so I wanted to create a place where I could go to enjoy excellent coffee with exceptional pastries and snacks, where my kids can also hang out and have some fun.”

Though Cafesphere will have a strong European influence, the Poland-born Pasciak intends for it to have a uniquely American bent, explaining “I fell in love with America’s café culture when I first came to this country as an au pair in 2004, I never experienced anything like this. In Poland, where I’m from, going out for coffee is more of an event. Here, the coffee shop serves as a community hub.”

The decor will favor cozyness. Pasciak states “I would describe it as modern with traditional design elements — polished but not trendy.” Cafesphere aims to please the entire family, offering a designated kids-only coffee bar and playspace that serves hot chocolate, chocolate milk, and an array of healthy snacks.

Cafesphere will of course be serving a wide range of coffee drinks made with beans from OX Coffee, a Philadelphia roaster. The shop will have plenty of options for the coffee-averse as well. Cafesphere will feature an array of fair-trade organic loose-leaf teas, and a menu of virgin cocktails. Hungry guests can enjoy a full menu dedicated to French baguettes, croissants, beignets, and treats from beloved Philly bakery, Cake & Joe.

Pasciak is hopeful that Cafesphere will become a local favorite. She states “My hope is that the community welcomes us with open arms and enjoys the vibe, the coffee and the whole experience as much as we’ve loved building this new addition to the neighborhood. We’re super excited to get open in a few weeks!”
