The newest shop, set to open at 315 Bretz Court, will have the Perry Dunkin market cornered. The bakery will be the only location operating in the county. While an official opening date has not been announced, the Penn Holding Group anticipates serving coffee and donuts before the close of 2023.
The Perry Dunkin will be opened in conjunction with a 24 hour Sunoco gas station and convenience store. Dalsher Nagra, a partner in the family-owned holding group, explains how the partnership will benefit future customers, stating “It’s a good combination. It helps us serve customers with both their fuel needs and food needs, especially with Newport being such a commuter area.”
Dunkin will have every modern advantage available to the new stores in the chain. In addition to aesthetic upgrades like a contemporary color scheme, all Next Gen formatted Dunkins benefit from top-of-the-line equipment, coffee taps, and drive-thru lanes.
Nagra is confident the design will appeal to future visitors, saying “Inside, it’s designed to flow really well for customers.”
Dunkin Donuts has been a pastry staple since it first opened its doors in Massachusetts in 1950. The wildly successful franchise has ballooned to include more than 13,200 locations worldwide.
While Dunkin’s greatest draw is, of course, the donuts, the chain also sells muffins, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. The eatery’s popular coffee comes in a wide variety of flavors and styles.
