One of Philadelphia’s best known restaurateurs is currently getting ready to debut a brand new concept in Bryn Mawr later this Summer.
Chef Marc Vetri is the founder of Philadelphia’s critically acclaimed Vetri Family of Restaurants. Born in Philadelphia, Vetri spent many of his formative training years in Bergamo Italy where he acquired his skills working alongside some of the region’s most notable chefs. He opened his first restaurant, Vetri, in 1998 to critical success and was bestowed the coveted James Beard Award for “Best Chef Mid-Atlantic” in 2005.
After launching Vetri, Chef Marc continued his winning streak with popular Philadelphia restaurants like Osteria, Amis, Alla Spina, Pizzeria Vetri, and Lo Spiedo. In addition to his restaurants, Vetri is also a regular contributor for The Huffington Post and has used his expertise to publish numerous cookbooks, teaching fans the secrets behind all of his most popular recipes. Now, Chef Vetri is gearing up to once again debut a brand new concept, this time opening up in Bryn Mawr.
Fiore Rosso is the latest project from Chef Vetri and his business partner Jeff Benjamin. Envisioned as an elevated, Italian steakhouse, the new restaurant will be lead by chef de cuisine Jesse Grossman, who previously helmed Osteria in North Philadelphia. Fiore Rosso has been in development for quite some time due to ongoing complications from the pandemic, but now that things have generally become more settled, Vetri is reaching nearer to his slated Summer 2022 launch.
Fiore Rosso will be opening up in Bryn Mawr at 915 West Lancaster Avenue. The restaurant will be replacing Enoteca Tredici, a popular Italian bistro and wine bar from owner Greg Dodge that closed at the end of last year. At the moment, Chef Vetri and his team are putting the final touches on the space before finally opening to the public.
