A fan-favorite icecream truck is preparing to trade its lilting, nomadic tones for the stability of a brick-and-mortar location in New Jersey. Mister Softee is in the process of opening a physical store in Brick, reports Patch.

The soft-serve mainstay will be opening one of its rare, stationary stores at 2524 Hooper Avenue. Franchise owner Dan Pittman has not yet returned What Now Philadelphia’s request for a comment about the newest location.
The latest Mister Softee location is aiming for a December of 2023 opening. This new shop will include a coffee bar in addition to Mister Softee’s signature ice cream.
Mister Softee is most widely recognized for its fleet of ice cream trucks. The company, founded in 1956, currently has more than 600 trucks across 18 states. While the stores are less common than the mobile units, Mister Softee does presently run over 350 franchises.
The nostalgic brand offers a wide range of soft-serve options, spanning simple cones, through floats, and milkshakes.
