Joe’s Crab Shack will be saying its final goodbyes to Deptford on May 26, after which it will vacate the building located at 2000 Clements Bridge Road, making space for Whelihan’s. The chain, which has 22 restaurants in operation across Jersey and Pennsylvania, is still finalizing the details about taking over the Deptford Landing property, making an opening timeline impossible to estimate.

Founded in Haddon Township in 1983, Whelihan’s specializes in delicious interpretations of beloved pub classics, ranging from wings to burgers. While each location differs nominally, every P.J. Whelihan’s restaurant provides an array of tvs for guests hoping to cheer for the home team while they enjoy their dinners or a cold beer.
