Konstantinos Pavlidis and Peter Kada, co-owners of Pete’s Famous Pizza, filed for a liquor license with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for the new Wharton Street location. The application is still pending.

Pete’s Famous Pizza has been a Philadelphia favorite for three decades. The family owned and operated business runs on a “tradition of quality and consistency” according to its website. The pizzeria serves up piping hot gourmet pizza, a selection of beers on tap and wine, as well as offers catering services for Philly events. But there’s more: Pete’s also dishes out cheesesteaks, wings, salads, burgers and more.

Aside from carrying on the legacy of Pete’s Famous Pizza, Peter Kada also owns a small Greek restaurant, Moustaki, that serves up authentic Greek gyros, souvlaki and other genuine Greek dishes.

Pavlidis and Kada were not immediately available for comment on an expected opening date for their new Wharton Street location. Check back to What Now Philly and follow Pete’s Famous Pizza on Facebook for more updates.
