The restaurant, located at 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue, has begun the process of rebranding, with plans to go live with the new look and theme by the end of September.

In a press release provided to What Now Philadelphia, executive chef Robert Lhulier- the mind tasked with developing Brandywine Brasserie-explains the motivation behind the transformation: ‘The previous concept was one that was too static for us. A restaurant is no longer just about the food you serve but the experience you create for the customer. They want to be immersed in the environment of your establishment so that they can create lasting memories with their friends and family. Brandywine Brasserie will be the neighborhood drop-in, a night out with friends, a gathering place after work, and the spot to have that birthday or anniversary you’ve been planning.”

The concept has been workshopping new dishes since July when the restaurant started offering the meals as specials. The press release explains the new menu, saying “Revised dishes will include Steak Tartare “Frites”, the classic dish of raw beef with black truffle cheese fonduta. And new classics, like warm Mushroom and Comté tartlet with lavender honey. And entrees like Brasserie Poutine: cheese curds and brandied mushroom gravy atop French fries with braised beef short rib. Handmade pastas and focaccia, fresh-seasonal fish, and an always changing selection of raw items from oysters and carpaccio, to crudo and ceviche. The popular Brasserie double-patty burger will remain.”
