The popular chain will begin serving its signature soft pretzels out of an 800 square foot space at 800 Ocean Avenue N this spring. The storefront is occupying the spot next to the Stella Marina Bar & Restaurant that previously housed Dawgs on the Boardwalk.
Franchisee and Asbury Park local Bonnie Nach spoke with What Now Philadelphia about bringing the City of Brotherly Love’s favorite salty treat to the boardwalk. “We are super psyched to bring this product to Asbury.” she states. She is quick to allay the concerns of anyone hesitant about embracing a chain. “It’s such a small franchise” she explains. “ It’s still owned by the guy who founded it. It’s all about the product.”
Asbury Park residents can look forward to sampling the Philly Pretzel Factory’s fare when it holds its soft opening on March 15. The eatery intends to stay open until at least 10 p.m., providing a warm, salty option for the boardwalk crowd.
Philly Pretzel Factory opened its doors in northeast Philadelphia in 1998. Anchored by simple, delicious pretzels, the brand has expanded to include 165 stores across the country, with the majority naturally located in Philly.
