South Philly diners will soon be able to enjoy some of the city’s finest bagels. Bart’s Bagels, the West Philadelphia phenomenon, will be opening a new shop in the Bella Vista neighborhood later this year, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The coffee shop and bakery will be occupying a newly constructed building located at 769 South 10th Street. The space is currently under construction in anticipation of a summer opening.
Bart’s sets itself apart from Philly’s many other breakfast shops by smoking its own meats on the premises as well as baking its own fresh bagels. The South Philly storefront will be the bakery’s second location.
Bart’s offers an extensive menu to hungry visitors looking for a snack or a meal. While of course the focus is on fresh, delicious bagels, Bart’s also features a wide range of egg sandwiches, smoked fish sandwiches, specialty sandwiches, salad sandwiches, schmears, spreads, and sweet treats.
