The rapidly expanding cookie franchise will be moving into unit 10B at 3100 Tilghman Street. Franchisee Carlos Silver spoke to What Now Philadelphia about what drew him to the growing chain, stating “I first came across Cookie Plug while searching up-and-coming cookie franchises on Google. The first thing that caught my eye was the size of the cookies (they are HUGE!!!).”

He adds that Cookie Plug’s unique branding and hip flair contributed to the allure, saying “Also the fact that they had a cool theme that combines graffiti art and hip-hop. Seeing this brought me back to the 90’s to when I was a teenager in the Bronx.”

Silver believes that the Allentown location puts Cookie Plug right where it needs to be-in the heart of commerce and community. “I chose Allentown and that particular location due to its close proximity to Cedar Crest College, Muhlenberg University and many other attractions.” he explains.

Silver and his crew are still in the early stages of the opening process. He explains that he has just signed the lease for the building and is in the process of designing the space. He is optimistic about opening the store and serving Lehigh Valley residents fresh, delicious cookies by spring of 2024.

Cookie Plug brings a distinctive, urban approach to the crowded cookie market. The website describes an experience that “ combines graffiti, street art and hip-hop culture to create a unique twist on cookies. Each location has a colorful design, street art-themed graffiti on the walls and rap music blasting to create a vibe that is unmatched. The freshest, fattest and thickest cookies around! Part cookie, part cake, part brownie, our cookies are like no other.”

The Allentown Cookie Plug is Silver’s opening salvo in the baked goods world. Looking to the future, he explains “At this time we are hoping to open up two more locations in the Lehigh Valley area and maybe even expanding to the Poconos and other areas down the road.”
