The popular eatery will occupy 2,407 square-feet of the shopping center, located at 2845 Center Valley Parkway. Director of operations Mary Kennedy spoke to What Now Philadelphia about bringing the venerable chain to Upper Saucon Township. “I have been asking for more northern Pennsylvania locations for awhile now because I live in Perkasie.” she explains, adding that there is a gap in the market that Five Guys is perfectly designed to fill. “My sister is a teacher for Saucon Valley so I’ve always known of the Promenade Shops and there aren’t any fast-casual spaces in there, so I think it’s good opportunity.”
Kennedy explains that her franchise group, Rockham 5G, owns and operates several Five Guys restaurants, drawn to the brand’s emphasis on excellent service and superior ingredients. “We love the Five Guys brand.” she states. “They’re very customer-focused and use good, quality products.”
Established Five Guys fans and new regulars alike will delight at the inviting environment and delectable, fast-casual cuisine the establishment offers. Kennedy explains: “We are very customer-focused. We like to make sure all of our customers feel welcome and that they know they’re getting fresh, quality ingredients. We hand-roll all of our burgers every day and hand-cut all of our potatoes. Nothing is ever frozen, everything is fresh.”
Five Guys is making steady progress towards opening its new home. “We have all the plans done and approved.” Kennedy says. “We just started demo last week. We’re still in the very early process. Our big exterior sign will be installed tonight.”
Kennedy and the crew behind the Promenade Shops location are hoping to open in conjunction with the new academic year. She states “We’re shooting for the end of August, and if not then, September. We really want to get in there before school starts. We’re very excited.” she adds.
