The Super Wawa will be opening at the intersection of Egg Harbor and Blackwood-Barnsboro Roads. The convenience giant has been in development for quite some time. Gloucester County granted initial approval for the Wawa in September of 2022, however an array of external forces caused delays to the initial construction. The roadways and sidewalks in the region underwent considerable construction and renovations, resulting in the Wawa’s development being pushed back repeatedly.

However, construction has begun in earnest. The foundation was laid in June of this year, and the gas pumps are installed. While an official opening date has not been announced, based on its present progress, the Wawa will likely be open before 2024.

Wawa is a beloved Pennsylvania establishment. The popular East Coast fixture straddles the line between convenience store and restaurant. The establishment is beloved for its fresh, made-to-order sandwiches, bagels, and bowls.

Since its establishment in 1964, Wawa has amassed a mighty fan-following. The convenience juggernaut has 1,017 stores spread across Delaware, Maryland, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.
