The popular American-Chinese chain will be opening in the still-developing Circle Place shopping center, located at 154 Highway 35. Asbury Park Press first reported on the planned Panda Express in January of 2022. The restaurant, which will occupy a 2,000 square-foot building complete with a drive-in lane, has faced many delays since receiving approval almost two years ago.
A Panda Express representative previously expressed optimism about opening in September of this year, however the company is now hoping to open sometime in November, though it remains noncommittal.
Panda Express will be neighbors with Wendy’s, Wawa, and Wingstop once it opens its doors. The Eatontown location will be the chain’s 16th New Jersey store.
Panda Express is a corporate-owned franchise, founded in Glendale, California. The chain first opened its doors in 1983, and has since expanded to include more than 2,200 locations worldwide.
The restaurant specializes in American Chinese food. Hungry guests can feast on favorites such as teriyaki chicken, Kung Pau chicken, and Beijing Beef.
