Chef Beth Esposito, of Pink Garlic, is opening a new stand called Butcher’s Pantry at Reading Terminal Market in the coming months. What Now Philadelphia confirmed with chef Beth Esposito via phone that the opening of the shop will likely be happening closer to summer. The cases of the stand will be filled with an array of raw meats seasoned with Butcher’s Pantry signature spice blends, stuffed with daily concoctions, and packaged to make dining at home easier. The Reading Terminal Market is located at 51 N. 12th Street in Philadelphia.

The shelves will be filled with everything you need to make a complete and delicious meal at home with a minimum of fuss. There will also be “heat and eat” options like various pot pies, stews, soups, meat rolls, meatballs & sauces, and chef Beth’s signature ricotta gnocchi. There will be daily selections of compound butters, complete vegetable, and starch-based side dishes, and yes, tasty vegetarian options. In case you get hungry while shopping at Butcher’s Pantry, there will be one eat-in option at the shop. It’s called the Butcher’s Pie and chef Beth Esposito is keeping the details of the item close to the vest, but this secret “eatable” is sure to be special.

The concept is just what people who are very tired of coming up with dinner options but who want a great meal at home need. Chef Beth Esposito and Robert Passio of Giunta’s Prime Shop are partnering on this project but chef Beth will be the acting on-premise owner and the face of Butcher’s Pantry.

Customers will also be able to purchase the shop’s signature spice blends to take home.
