Artifact’s new home at 19 West Court Street will provide the brewery with extra space for 16 taps and hand pump beer. Artifact will be shifting the lion’s share of brewing from Hatboro to the Doylestown facility once it opens its doors next year.

Artifact co-founder and co-owner Matt Brzowski spoke with What Now Philadelphia about the the brewery’s new home, stating “Doylestown has a great retail scene in the downtown area as well as a vibrant nightlife.  These positives combined with some space in the local craft beer market made Doylestown seem like a great fit.”

Necessity turned out the be the mother of invention that spurred Artifact’s expansion. Brzowski explains that company’s success and growing popularity necessitated a greater brewing capacity than they could achieve at the Hatboro location.

Artifact’s new home will not have a kitchen, but that doesn’t mean visitors will go hungry. In addition to inviting guests to bring their own food, the brewery will sell snacks from local vendors. Brzowski explains that Artifact will be seeking partnerships within the community, saying “We are looking into locally sourced options that can supplement the more basic snack foods that we offer at the Hatboro location.”

While the Artifact crew cannot currently offer a precise 2024 opening date, Brzowski explains that development is progressing steadily and at a regular clip. “We are well into the build-out of the Doylestown location.  The equipment will be delivered shortly, and we can finalize the interior finishing”, he says.

In addition to an impressive selection of delicious beers, Artifact will feature Pennsylvania wines and spirits. More than just tasty beverages, the brewery hopes to create a warm and welcoming community environment. “We seek to offer a comfortable and relaxed environment where our customers can gather and share good drinks and good conversation.” Brzowski states, adding “We hope to bring the community together through craft beer. It is our goal that a local artist can come sit with a pint and have a conversation with the lawyer who is next to them.
