Provenance, set to open at Head House Square, will focus on seafood prepared via French methods. The unique restaurant will infuse touches of Korean preparation into the distinctive dishes.

Provenance will take over the intimate space last inhabited by Xochitl at 408 South Second Street. The space will accommodate a twelve seat chef’s table, downstairs dining for eight to ten guests to sample a tasting menu, and a four seat bar for ala carte dining.

Provenance will offer biodynamic and natural wines.

Chef Bazik has an impressive pedigree, having helmed kitchens at 13th Street Kitchens, The Good King Tavern, Lacroix at The Rittenhouse, and La Peg. Though no specific opening date has been announced, Provenance aims to open its doors in late August or early September.
