Pennsylvania is Getting Its Very Own I Heart Mac & Cheese

Purvesh Patel is looking for a location in Dresher.

What’s better than mac and cheese? A make-your-own mac and cheese bowl! And the only thing better than that might be I Heart Mac & Cheese‘s mac and cheese grilled cheeses. But then there’s their mac and cheese tacos… anyway, the fast-casual concept will be “cheesed to meet you” at the 75 new locations they will be opening in 2022. Pennsylvania is among the 10 new states that the franchise will expand into. The South Florida-based chain started franchising in 2017.

“Navigating the pandemic has been challenging for the restaurant industry, during the start of the pandemic we knew we had to rethink the way we did things to continue to expand. We set a deep focus on providing our franchise family with the right tools for success,” CEO and Chairman Stephen Giordanella told FastCasual. “Last year, we invested in a corporate training facility that includes a full-service training restaurant, a test kitchen, a new website, expanding our in-house marketing and training teams, redoing our website, adding a mobile app, and store redesigns.”

I Heart Mac & Cheese currently has about 20 locations throughout the U.S. Purvesh Patel signed on to open a Pennsylvania outlet, which would be the state’s first. Patel told What Now Philadelphia that he is currently looking in Dunmore for the chain’s Pennsylvania outpost. Learn more about I Heart Mac & Cheese at iheartmacandcheese.com.
