Tapster is bringing self-serve beers to Philadelphia. The on-the-rise company is taking over space at 1601 Sansom Street in late July or early August, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The new location, located at the corner of Sansom and 16th Street, will take over the area vacated by Philadelphia Runner. The new location will comprise approximately 3,600 square feet.

Tapster allows customers to pour their own beverages from a wide array of taps. Founder Roman Maliszewski reports that the new Philadelphia location will have 57 beverages available to guests. Tapster will offer 15 non-alcoholic options, ranging from root beer to ginger beer to coffee options.The owners aim to provide an option for every customer.  

Tapster lets visitors pay for their beverages by the ounce, allowing customers to sample the wide array of libations on deck. Existent Tapster locations offer wine, spirits, cider, craft sodas, kombucha, and cold brew coffee in addition to the expected craft beers

Tapster currently has five locations; two in Seattle, two in Chicago, and one in Cleveland.   

Tapster Philadelphia will offer basic snack foods to customers. The facility will sell popcorn, grilled cheese sandwiches, and hot dogs.
