Though the couple haven’t announced an official opening date, the Du Plooy’s are aiming to start service in late 2023 or early 2024.

The Brass Tap will be taking over the 1,800 square feet location last occupied by 3rd World Sports Bar and Grill. The space will accommodate 60 guests indoors, with additional space bookmarked for outdoor seating.

The Du Plooys are hopeful that Manayunk will be the ideal location for The Brass Tap’s inaugural  Philadelphia home, with Danielle stating “We so think it is a good fit. We’re very impressed with the demographics of Manayunk as far as the population density, average age and household, so [The Brass Tap thinks] this will be a really successful location.”

The Brass Tap will feature several local brews on its 30 tap menu. The bar will also serve wine and liquor. Hungry patrons can enjoy wings, burgers, and pizza, as well as an array of other classic bar foods. The establishment will offer brunch on the weekends.

The Brass Tap originated in Florida in 2007. The brand now has 42 restaurants spread over 14 states.
