The folks at Bluebird Distilling in Phoenixville are embarking on a new endeavor with a new coffee shop/whiskey bar concept in Downtown Ardmore that aims to be open by March. Char & Stave will serve as a high-end café and coffee bar. “Artfully crafted” specialty coffee will be offered in the mornings, while both whiskey and coffee will be available in the evening.

“This is among the first of this concept. The Ardmore location will feature specialty coffee roasted by Char & Stave, classic espresso, tonics, new-age techniques, and breakfast cocktails,” a Linkedin job posting says. “We are a fun, passionate team looking to take coffee to the next level.”

House-roasted coffees will be available to take home to brew along with bottles of locally produced whiskey, vodka, gin, and run. According to a Craigslist post, Char & Steve is looking to be Ardmore’s “next beverage destination.” It lists Char & Stave in Ardmore as the brand’s flagship location. Bluebird Distilling has locations in Phoenixville, their first and main location, and Center City. They also run The Bourse in Old City.
