Reber-Hummer says that she hopes to open in February 2023, however, recognizes that with the holidays fast approaching it’s becoming slightly more difficult to hire contractors and that a March opening looks more likely.

“We’re just so excited. We love everything that the brand is about – they believe in giving back to the community and just bringing so much joy to everybody’s lives, and that’s who I am as a person, so I’m excited to represent that model,” Reber-Hummer tells What Now Philadelphia.

In an interview with Penn Live published last month, Reber-Hummer, who used to work as an Agora Cyber Charter School administrator explained that when customers walk into a Nothing Bundt Cakes outpost, “The feeling is like being in a Hallmark movie,” adding, “It is so quaint and gives you a family-owned vibe. It’s just a happy feeling.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes was founded in Las Vegas in 1997 as a humble in-home operation by Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz. Over the years they’ve garnered a devoted following for their highly customizable creations, each of which is baked fresh on-site, and grown the portfolio to more than 430 locations across North America.

“To find the perfect recipe for joy, you need the perfect ingredients,” the company writes on its official website. “That’s what our founders Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz were for each other,” adding, “From ‘Happy Birthday’ to ‘Just Because’ moments, Nothing Bundt Cakes is all about bringing joy to our guests!”
