According to plans recently filed with the city of Philadelphia, a 6.2-acre development is being proposed at 16 Snyder Ave., with Shake Shack named as one of the shopping center’s tenants, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported yesterday, Oct 3.

A representative of Shake Shack could not immediately be reached for comment.

Formerly an industrial site owned by Philadelphia-based company Inolex, the Formerly an industrial site owned by Philadelphia-based personal care and cosmetics company Inolex, the proposed development is already promoting a number of businesses such as Raising Cane’s, Advanced Auto Parts, Chase Bank, and Lidl.

Beginning as a humble hot dog stand in New York City in 2001, Shake Shack has grown into a juggernaut of the quick service industry, with some 360 locations spread across 83 countries, including roughly 220 here in the US.
