Westminster’s The Fuge is an incredibly hip and unique space to begin with. The catering and event facility boasts three separate party rooms, including one that’s completely round and used to house military laboratories and training facilities where astronauts like Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin received instruction. And it’s about to get even cooler with its incoming space-themed brewery, tentatively called Tranquility Brewing Company.

Tranquility Brewing Company will open to the public at 780 Falcon Circle #200 in January 2022 and serve its own line of on-site brewed beers and offer full-service dining. The brewery’s main dining area will seat about 60 to 70 people, with a private room in the back that will host about 20 for private events and small gatherings. Their menu will consist of pub food, specialty items, and what owner Sam Cravero anticipates will be the best pizza around.

Tranquility Brewing Company will have 8 to 12 taps with additional lines flowing to The Fuge’s private event spaces in the venue. It will also have its kitchen separate from The Fuge’s catering facilities. Brewery goers will get to see the beer fermentors in action, as they will be set behind glass in the brewery for viewing, and have access to the outdoor courtyard. With The Fuge being a popular wedding venue, Cravero told What Now Philadelphia that it only made sense to have a restaurant on site where rehearsal dinners and after-parties could be held. When The Fuge’s event spaces aren’t booked up, he will open the space for live entertainment for brewery goers to enjoy. The space was previously used for storage and will be renovated to accommodate the brewery.

Cravero named his new project Tranquility after Armstrong’s announcement of Apollo 11’s touchdown on the moon in 1969, saying, “Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.” Tranquility Brewing Company will pay homage to the astronauts that once trained there with a mural of Armstrong landing on the moon and images of outer space. The rest of the venue will be decorated in grey and stainless steel.
