Shake Shack has come a long way since starting out as a New York City hot dog cart. The burger and shake joint, started in 2014, will open one of its latest global locations in Whitehall’s Lehigh Valley Mall. Lehigh Valley fans have waited since the new location was announced in the spring to sink their teeth into one of Shake Shack’s juicy burgers and will finally get the chance to fill their bellies when it opens sometime in December.

Shake Shack’s website lists its address at the Lehigh Valley Mall as 1457 MacArthur Rd. The mall’s website lists the location as the MacArthur Road Mall Entrance, next to Dave & Buster’s.

“We are excited for the arrival of Shake Shack later this year,” the mall’s site states.

Shake Shack is known as a modern-day “roadside” burger stand serving burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, frozen custard, hot dogs, and shakes. But these aren’t your typical fast-food burgers and shakes. At Shake Shack, you’ll find specialty burger options like their SmokeShack burger, a cheeseburger with Niman Ranch applewood smoked bacon, chopped cherry peppers, and ShackSauce. They also offer seasonal and limited-time items like their Black Truffle Burger or Sugar Plum Fairy Shake.

“An instant neighborhood fixture, Shake Shack welcomes people from all over the country and world to enjoy fresh, simple, high-quality versions of the classics in a majestic setting,” their website states.

The company is currently hiring cashiers, cooks, and customer service reps for their new location with starting pay at $14 an hour. Those interested in applying and do so by texting sslehighvalley to 646-766-9676.
