Brewerytown will grand open on Friday, June 23rd at 3163 N. 31st Street, with free bagels and cream cheese to the first 100 people between 8:15am and 10:15am. Free bagels and cream cheese are one per person. Along with the openings come new additions to both the food and drink menus, including new Oreo bagels, new Dorito bagels, new Cookie Monster cream cheese, new breakfast sandwiches, Blackberry Pie Latte, Peach Cobbler Chai, Paradise Red Bull Cooler, and Bananas Foster Iced Coffee. The two new locations join existing locations in Northern Liberties and Fishtown, with new locations coming soon in South Philadelphia, North Philadelphia/Temple, Midtown Village and Florida. Hours for all locations are seven days a week, 7:00am to 3:00pm.

“We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Bagels and Co. is coming to Center City and Rittenhouse Square – and to Brewerytown next to Glu’s Brewerytown Food Hall,” said Gibbons in a statement. “What started out as a pandemic pivot and our first steps into the fast casual sector has turned into a city-wide obsession with our bagels, cream cheese and coffee. We are so thankful and honored to be able to expand so quickly – and we want to thank everyone for their continued support. Our flagship and original location in Northern Liberties and our nearby location in Fishtown continue to attract new and repeat customers. We love Philadelphia and our neighborhoods and we look forward to continuing to spread the bagel love to South Philly, Temple and Midtown Village very soon. We are also working on other fast casual concepts to pop-up near our Center City locations that will be opening later this year. Stay tuned.”

Gibbons added, “These two new locations are very special to us. We have always dreamed of the day we would open in Center City – just blocks from where I live – and where we have a loyal customer base at our other properties. In Brewerytown, we just opened the food hall and we continue to get to know our neighbors and get more involved in our community there. With these openings we not only wanted to give away free bagels to say thanks and welcome to our neighbors, but it was the right time to introduce some new menu items. We hope everyone enjoys the Oreo bagel, the Dorito bagel and our new sandwiches. With each opening, we are thrilled to introduce a new breakfast and/or lunch sandwich inspired by the neighborhood.”

Bagels and Co. was created in 2021 and features an extensive collection of Brooklyn-style bagels, dozens of cream cheese and spread options, a well as a collection of breakfast sandwiches, casual and walkable lunch options, and coffee from D’Amico Coffee Roasters roasted specifically for Bagels and Co. and Glu Hospitality. All Bagels and Co. locations will have indoor and/or outdoor seating (unless noted), take-out, pick-up, breakfast service, lunch service, coffee service and a small grab-and-go section, plus online ordering on major delivery apps.

For Center City/Rittenhouse, Bagels and Co. occupies the former home of Goldie at 1526 Sansom Street, with 1,200 square feet of space on the main level, with 16 seats.

Gibbons said, “The space became available when Goldie moved to a new building and we really like the location as it’s on a very busy Sansom St and we really think there’s a need for more casual breakfast/lunch offerings in the area.”

For Brewerytown, Bagels anc Co. will offer 900 square feet inside with around 20-24 seats both inside and outside. Look for marketplace offerings at this location with juices, yogurts, fruit parfaits, drinks and other grab and go.

“We originally looked at the space over a year ago and really liked it as it was previously a cafe,” said Gibbons. ” The building was then bought by M&M partners who we began speaking to and struck a deal with. There’s a huge lack of concepts in the area and there’s a lot of residents we look forward to catering to. The neighborhood is growing so fast but food options have been slower to come. We are proud to now have two food concepts in this up-and-coming neighborhood.”

For these openings, Bagels and Co. introduces new menu items at ALL locations to celebrate – just in time for the grand openings and for summer:

Bagels and Cream Cheese –
* OREO bagel with cookies baked into the dough (powdered sugar on top optional)
* COOKIE MONSTER cream cheese with cookies and cookie dough
* DORITO BAGEL with doritos and nacho cheese baked in

Bagel Sandwiches –
* THE “RITTENHOUSE” with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, mayo
* THE B-TOWN with chicken cutlet, lettuce, tomato, bacon, mozz, red wine vinegar

For cream cheese, Bagels and Co. has one of the city’s largest line-ups with 20-24 at the ready at nearly all times during regular hours. Bagels and Co. also offers vegan and gluten free offerings, non-dairy spreads, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, coffee drinks, baked goods, deli items, smoothies, yogurt parfaits, fresh juices, frozen non-alcoholic beverages, salads and other cafe items.

Glu is serving from-scratch Brooklyn-style bagels – that are soaked in water to make them puffy and crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. For cooking the bagels, Glu had special custom fabricated steam ovens made just for this first location for Bagels and Co.

For coffee, Glu partners with D’Amico for special roasting blends that were designed exclusively for Bagels and Co. Coffee beverages include the standards with a menu of drinks – including coffee, espresso, double espresso, cappuccino, latte, matcha, iced coffee, iced latte, iced matcha, red bull cool, Nitro cold brew and more. Coffee by the bag is also available for sale, as are Bagels and Co. merchandise, and grab-and-go market items, beverages and more.

Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are available and made-to-order upon customer request. Bagels and Co. proudly serves Boar’s Head Deli Meats.
