Mochi Donuts are quickly rising up to become one of the hottest new snacks of the season. Incredibly trendy and highly delicious, mochi donuts originated in Hawaii as a combination of Japanese mochi with traditional American donuts. Thanks to their unique shape and chewy, glutenous texture, mochi donuts have been steadily growing as one of the most exciting new dessert trends.
One of the most popular chains of mochi donuts is Mochinut. The chain was begun in southern California by owner Jaewook Ha, and today the brand boasts nearly 90 locations across the US, South Korea, and Thailand. Recently, Mochinut has been expanding aggressively into Philadelphia, which was covered by your stalwart reporters at What Now. Now, the brand is continuing expansion into south Jersey with a new location in Cherry Hill, among others planned for the future.
Mochinut’s latest expansion will see the franchise establishing a new outpost at 871 Cooper Landing in Cherry Hill. The new location will be moving into Crossroads Plaza, right next to a Ria’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard. The space was previously occupied by a Cricket Wireless retail outlet.
The new space will naturally feature all of the bold and exciting flavors that Mochinut fans have come to expect. Some fan favorites include churro, coffee, yogurt, milk pebble, matcha, cookies and cream, and mango.
